Everything
about SQODY.

How to connect a wallet, what a launch costs, how the squad buys in the same block, and exactly what we can and can't do with your money. Launching your first token? Start with the walkthrough instead: it covers the same ground, with pictures.

Step-by-step walkthrough

Getting started

SQODY launches a token on pump.fun and puts your whole squad in the same block as you.

A normal launch is one person buying their own token first, and everyone else arriving whenever they notice. SQODY creates the token and makes one buy for your whole squad in its first block, then sends every wallet you listed its share, so your friends are in at the opening price rather than chasing it.

There is no account, no email and no registration. Your wallet is your identity: connect it and your launches, saved squads and reserved addresses are there.

  • A Solana wallet, such as Phantom or Solflare.
  • SOL for the launch fee, your first buy and a little extra for network costs.
  • A name, a ticker, a square image, and the wallet addresses of anyone launching with you.

Connecting your wallet

Connecting lets the site read your address. Nothing else.

Press Connect wallet and your wallet asks you to approve the site. Approving shares your public address — the string people send tokens to. It doesn't let SQODY move anything, and it can't be used to spend from your wallet.

  1. Connecting

A one-off approval in your wallet. Afterwards your address shows in the top corner of the app; press it to disconnect. Switching accounts in your wallet switches them here too.

  2. Signing a message

Before you reserve an address, order a custom CA or launch, your wallet asks you to sign a short message in plain English. It moves no money and approves no transaction. It only proves the wallet is really yours.

  3. Signing a transaction

This is the one that spends: paying for a reserved or custom CA, or the launch itself. Your wallet shows the full amount before you approve, and nothing leaves your wallet until you do.

Launching a token

Six steps, then you approve in your wallet.

  1. 1. Describe your token

Name, ticker, one line of description and a square image. This is exactly what people see on pump.fun and in trading apps, so use the picture you actually want. Website, X and Telegram links are optional.

  2. 2. Choose your contract address

Take the included ending, reserve an address now, pay for four characters of your own, or pick one this wallet already holds.

  3. 3. Add your squad

Your wallet is the first row. Paste your friends' addresses underneath and give each a share of the first buy. Shares have to total 100%; Split evenly does it for you.

  4. 4. Decide the creator fees

Keep them, split them evenly, or set each share by hand.

  5. 5. Set your first buy

How much SOL goes into the token the moment it's created, divided by the shares you just set. The breakdown shows what each wallet receives before anything is signed.

  6. 6. Review and sign

The summary lists everything leaving your wallet. The first approval creates the token and makes the buy. With a squad, a second one sends them their shares and sets the fee split.

Contract addresses

Every SQODY token ends in “sqdy” unless you pay for a custom CA.

The contract address — the CA, also called the mint — is your token's permanent ID on Solana. It's the string people paste to buy. Ours are made the slow way: a computer generates addresses until one happens to end in the right characters. That's why an ending costs something, and why a custom one takes a few minutes.

Standard CA
Included with the launch fee. A fresh address ending in sqdy, assigned the moment you launch.
Reserve now
Pay now and an address is held for you before you launch, so you can put it in your posts, website and graphics. It stays yours until you use it.
Custom CA
Choose the last four characters and pay now. We generate the address for you, usually within a few minutes, and hold it for you as soon as it's found.
Launch with a CA you own
Under the three options is a list of every address this wallet holds. Pick one to launch with it. You can also buy addresses ahead of time on the Reserved CAs page.
  • Fees for a reserved or custom CA aren't refunded if you change your mind: the address has already been made for you.
  • One wallet can hold a few unpaid reservations at a time. Pay for one or let it expire before taking another.

Squad wallets

Five wallets come with the launch, including yours. Bigger squads cost a little more.

  • 5walletsIncluded
  • 10wallets+0.05 SOL
  • 20wallets+0.15 SOL

Each row is a wallet that receives its share of your first buy. Name them however you like, and set each share by hand or press Split evenly. The bar under the rows shows the split, and the total has to reach 100%.

  • Your connected wallet is always the first row and cannot be removed.
  • Each address can only appear once. Paste carefully: a transfer to the wrong address can't be undone by anyone, including us.
  • Save the crew as a squad and the whole list comes back next launch, under Squads in the app.

Creator fees

pump.fun pays the creator a slice of every trade. SQODY takes none of it.

For as long as your token trades, a share of every trade goes to whoever created it: you. You decide at launch how it's divided. A split can be changed later from the wallet that created the token; sharing with holders can't.

Dev keeps all
Everything goes to your wallet.
Even split
Divided equally between every wallet in the squad.
Custom split
You set each wallet's percentage yourself.
Share with holders
Creator fees are paid out to holders. This is permanent: it can't be edited.

What it costs

One launch fee, a couple of optional extras, and whatever you choose to buy.

LaunchCreates the token, your buy and the squad's transfers. Includes a CA ending in “sqdy” and 5 wallets.0.1 SOL
10 walletsAdded to the launch fee.0.05 SOL
20 walletsAdded to the launch fee.0.15 SOL
Reserve a CAHold an address before you launch.0.05 SOL
Custom CAChoose the last 4 characters. Made to order.0.1 SOL

Your first buy is separate. It isn't a fee: it's your own money going into your own token, and it has its own line in the cost summary. Solana's network costs are small and come on top.

Security

What we hold, what we can't do, and how the service protects itself.

The short version: SQODY never holds your keys, so SQODY can never move your money. Every transfer in a launch is approved by you, in your own wallet, after you've seen the total.

  1. We never have your private key

Not your key, not your recovery phrase, not a copy of either. We read your public address and ask your wallet to sign. Nobody at SQODY — and nobody who broke into SQODY — can spend from your wallet.

  2. What we do hold

The key to an unlaunched contract address, while it waits for you. It is stored encrypted, used once to create your token, and destroyed the moment the launch completes or you cancel. It can only ever create that one mint.

  3. A wallet has to prove it is yours

Reserving an address, ordering a custom CA and launching all ask your wallet to sign a short message first. Typing in someone else's address isn't enough to use their reserved addresses or act in their name.

  4. Limits that keep the service standing

There's a limit on how many requests one visitor can make, each wallet can only hold a few unpaid addresses and custom orders at once, and uploads have a size limit. So no one can use up all the ready addresses or tie up the address generator for everyone else.

  5. Nobody can buy in ahead of you

Creating the token and making your first buy happen in a single step. There's no gap between the two for anyone to buy at the opening price before you.

  • Check the address in your browser's bar before you connect a wallet anywhere.
  • Read what your wallet shows you before approving. The amount in the approval is what leaves your wallet.

After the launch

Where your token lives and what you still control.

  • Your token is live on pump.fun and can be traded straight away. Share the contract address: that's what people use to buy.
  • Launches stay under Tokens in the app, with the CA and the transaction for each one.
  • Addresses you reserved but have not used wait under Reserved CAs.
  • A creator fee split can be changed later from the wallet that created the token, unless the fees go to holders.

When something goes wrong

The handful of things that actually happen.

The transaction failed
Usually there wasn't enough SOL for the total plus network costs, or the network was busy and the launch timed out. Nothing was charged. Check your balance and try again.
“No CAs ready right now”
Every ready-made address is taken and more are being generated. Try again in a minute or two.
Your custom CA is taking a while
Four characters take millions of attempts, so a few minutes is normal. It keeps going if you close the tab, and the address appears under Reserved CAs once it's found.
“Too many requests”
You've hit the request limit. Nothing is wrong with your launch. Wait a minute and try again.
A wallet address was wrong
Transfers on Solana are final. Nobody can reverse one: not SQODY, not pump.fun, not the network. Check every address before you sign.

Words you'll see

The vocabulary, in plain language.

CA / contract address / mint
Your token's permanent ID on Solana. Three names for the same string.
Dev wallet
The wallet that creates the token — yours. It signs the launch and makes the first buy.
Bonding curve
pump.fun's pricing: the more people buy, the higher the price climbs, automatically.
Block
Solana settles transactions in blocks, several per second. Everything in one block happens together.
Base58
The alphabet Solana addresses use. It leaves out the characters people misread: 0, O, I and l.
Grinding
Generating addresses over and over until one ends in the characters you asked for. It's how custom CAs are made.
Creator fees
A slice of every trade, paid to whoever created the token, for as long as it trades.

That's everything.
